Dr Paul Davis attained his medical degree from the University of Queensland in 1995. Paul trained in rural general practice and anaesthetics and holds fellowships of both the Royal Australasian College of General Practice and Australasian College of Rural General Practice.
After many years of interest, he decided to focus solely on the non-surgical treatment of varicose veins in 2006 and has been practicing exclusively in this field since that time. Dr Davis has gained post-graduate training in phlebology both in Australia and the USA.
In establishing The Varicose Vein Clinics in both the Gold Coast and Brisbane, he has combined his passion for excellent clinical results with a desire to make sure that varicose vein treatment occurs in a relaxed and friendly environment. These two clinics are now recognized as centres of excellence for the treatment of varicose veins.
In 2006 Dr Davis was awarded the Gold Medal for Sclerotherapy by The Australasian College of Phlebology. He is currently a member of both the Australian and New Zealand Society of Phlebology and the American College of Phlebology.
Jamie-Lea grew up on the Gold Coast and completed her schooling here. After studying medicine at Griffith University, she explored many different options for her career. She has worked within the hospital system, in general practice and in a business of her own. Working with Dr Paul Davis and The Varicose Vein Clinic team has enabled her to branch out into a new field, and she simply loves it!
“Our patients have an issue they need solved – spider and varicose veins – and we can fix it for them. I am loving the satisfaction of spending more time with people, understanding their concerns and fixing their problems. Achieving excellent clinical and cosmetic results is so incredibly satisfying and hearing patient stories about wearing shorts for the first time in 20 years makes me (and them!) really happy!”
Dr Jamie-Lea has a specific focus on spider veins and also treats vulval varicosity (vaginal varicose veins) post pregnancy.
Plus, she’s a mum to three small children and a division SIX netball grand final winner!

Dr Rhys Bennett completed his medical degree at Bond University on the Gold Coast, graduating with the Dean’s Academic Excellence Award. During his training he gained valuable exposure to interventional radiology, which sparked a strong interest in minimally invasive procedures.
Before studying medicine, Rhys worked as both a sonographer and radiographer at Gold Coast University Hospital. His passion for ultrasound-guided techniques and procedural medicine naturally led him to the specialty of Phlebology.
Rhys has completed Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, bringing a holistic, patient-centred approach to his vein practice. He is dedicated to the assessment and treatment of varicose and spider veins and is a member of the Australasian College of Phlebology.
Outside of work, Rhys is a proud father of two young daughters and enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, exploring and appreciating the beautiful natural environment of the Northern Rivers
