Sufferers of varicose veins may experience:

• Restlessness
• Leg tiredness
• Throbbing
• Heaviness
• Aching
• Tingling
• Numbness
• Burning
• Itching
• Swelling

Women most prone to varicose veins include those who:

• Have a family history of varicose veins
• Have been pregnant
• Spend prolonged periods of time standing i.e. occupations such as nursing, hairdressing and hospitality
• Obesity and trauma are also possible contributors
