Hand veins and hand rejuvenation

As we age the amount of fatty tissue in our hands decreases this can lead to the veins in our hands becoming more prominent. It can also lead to hollows between the tendons of our hands. Many people don’t like the look of these signs of aging in their hands and come to us to achieve a more youthful appearance.

We can completely remove the hand veins using Sclerotherapy- where we inject the veins in the hands with a ‘sclerosant’ a solution which causes irritation of the veins wall, the vein closes and is re-absorbed by the body over time. The hollows in the hand can be treated subsequently to the hand veins and are injected with a ‘filler’ which plumps the tissue and smoothes the skin. Both of these treatments lead to a smoother more youthful looking hand.

This procedure requires two treatments on each hand of Sclerotherapy and one session of injection of filler. For most people an initial consultation is required before treatment.
